Tree Plantation Drive

Tree planting is the process of transplanting tree seedlings, generally for forestry, land reclamation, or landscaping purposes. It differs from the transplantation of larger trees in agriculture, and from the lower cost but slower and less reliable distribution of tree seeds. Due to deforestation, there were extensive climate changes. One of the major impacts of climate change is on biodiversity. Biodiversity is the variety of all living things.

Apart from the actions that we all must take to reduce our impact on the warming climate, it is vital that we act to help our native wildlife have the best possible chance of adapting to these changing conditions and not go down the path towards extinction. For these purposes, MES has taken the following measures:

  • Tree Plantation drives through NSS camps in nearby villages
  • Tree plantation drive in the in our various colleges campuses
  • Tree plantation camps in the nearby villages
  • Awareness workshops on deforestation related climatic changes.

MES arranges Tree Plantation program every year in various parts of the region. We plant a thousand tress every year and also take care of these trees with the help of villagers and student and staff.
